All the right ingredients: AccorHotels’ CEO of F&B on what it takes to create a successful restaurant

by | ADVICE FROM THE TOP., INSPIRATION

What’s it like to oversee food and beverage operations at more than 8’000 restaurants and bars around the world? It’s the question we recently asked Amir Nahai, Chief Executive Officer, Group Food & Beverage for the global hotel group. Nahai, who joined AccorHotels in 2015 after a 16-year career at Bain & Company, says that his position is a testament to the belief that AccorHotels has in food and beverage, and to the huge investment that they’re making in the sector: It’s the first time a hotel group has had a global head of F&B who sits on the executive committee!

Nahai says that AccorHotels has very big ambitions in food and beverage, including changing the way hotel restaurants and bars are perceived. What’s their concept? A short menu, authentic and locally relevant food and setting, and passionate staff, among a few other things. To hear Nahai’s take on where the best F&B innovations are coming from today, and how AccorHotels plans to capture them, watch the full video!
